Oh, hello, blog…I’m sorry I have neglected you! I caught up with a fellow blogger friend this week, and she asked, “Are you still blogging?” I knew I had gone too quiet as soon as she asked that. It hasn’t been intentional, and I really miss creating and sharing on this little space. So as I plan some fun things for the coming weeks, here’s a little catch up of life around the Holcomb home!
Corinne’s first soccer game was a laugh! It was pouring rain, we forgot her shin guards, and she was a total grump the whole time. Oh, that girl! She did have some really deep conversations on the field with a teammate 😉 Here’s hoping we have some better weeks ahead.
Dance class officially started again this week! Corinne loved seeing lots of ‘princesses’ at the open house a few weeks ago. Our teacher this year is Miss Grace, and I think we will have a great year.
Our first trip to the dentist. Corinne got a clean bill of health, and a lecture on thumb sucking to boot. Apparently she doesn’t care if she gets ugly teeth, because she basically told the dentist can’t stop won’t stop. #eyeroll
We celebrated Nana’s birthday at the Cake Bake shop in Broad Ripple! I just love this little shop’s atmosphere, and of course, the heavenly cake. Corinne was a fan, too 🙂
We had fun on the last day of the Indiana State Fair! We checked out the animals, and Corinne loved the little farm exhibit geared toward little kiddos.
We paid $6 for a pony ride, just for this quick moment to happen. #threenager #anothereyeroll
We came, we ate all the good foods, and we conquered! Such a fun day as a family.
We celebrated Tristan’s 3rd birthday with an adorable Curious George theme this month! Usually when my girlfriends and I get together, it’s without the kiddos, so it was fun to see them all together.
I went out with my friends Sarah and Danielle to see Bad Moms (hilarious), and Brian surprised Corinne with a daddy/daughter date. What’s better than dinner + ice cream with daddy? Seeing these two love on each other melts my heart.
Lots of baby girl prep! Brian put her dresser together last weekend with lots of help from Corinne (thus earning him ‘Most Patient Man Ever’ award), and the room is slowly coming together. It’s been fun pulling out all of Corinne’s bedding, tiny sleepers and blankets for baby girl #2, but I’ve also had fun getting our sweet girl a few new things of her own, like this adorable hat from Cotton Cupcake Shoppe!
Alright, if you’ve hung on this long, I’m impressed 😉 I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and weekend!
