Last Saturday was the most amazing weather. I was so ready to declare it officially spring, and leave winter behind for good (ha, this week proved me wrong there!). Corinne and I spent the afternoon having a little girls’ trip to our favorite stores, Target and Bath and Body Works. It may sound so simple, but to see that little munchkin light up and sniff all the tiny candles is the best (yes, I’m just waiting for the day when she breaks one and I have to buy it). I love simple days like this with her!
That evening, we went on a double date with some of our favorites, Sarah and Phil. Corinne was so excited to be the 5th wheel – basically her favorite thing in life is to be the only kid around and get all the attention 😉 We went to Blind Owl Brewery and enjoyed good food, good brews and good friends. They have an awesome patio with outdoor games that I want to check out when the weather gets warmer!
I started using the Beauty Blender this week, and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It helps my base go on smoothly, and keeps my fingers clean. I like how you wet the blender to apply makeup to your face – I use cold water to wake myself up in the morning! I also found this tutorial for cleaning the blender, which will come in handy soon.
I’ve been reading For the Love recently, and I just love it. I like how it hops around from topic to topic (one chapter preaches how to cherish your marriage, and the next talks about the proper way to wear leggings. Ha!). Bottom line, this book preaches to love more. Love yourself more. Love others more. And, we shouldn’t be so darn hard on ourselves! That’s a message I can dive into.
I bought some samples of the Energize drink from Beachbody Performance, and it has totally helped with my early morning workouts. It basically tastes like yellow Gatorade to me, and it definitely helped me wake up and focus on my workout so early in the morning. If you are looking for a way to increase your workout performance, give this stuff a try!
I’m really looking forward to this weekend…I’m seeing family I haven’t seen in years, and I know it will be a special time. Wishing you a wonderful weekend as well!
