Corinne and I got a surprise girls’ day on Monday when her daycare had to close for the day because of sickness. We had so much fun! We’ve been meaning to go back to the Children’s Museum, and it was another 90 degree weather day, so I knew that would be the perfect activity for us. We spent almost 3 hours there, and Corinne wore this preggo mama out!
I’ve been having fun experimenting and researching my Young Living essential oils lately, and my latest diffuser favorite? Grapefruit (5 drops) + Peppermint (2 drops). It is so clean, citrusy and refreshing. Perfect to keep my energy up, and our home smelling fresh!
Timehop has been giving me all kinds of baby Corinne treats this week, and it’s got me so excited for baby girl #2 to arrive in October. Just look at our brown eyed girl!
Fresh summer produce. We were with Brian’s family last weekend, and his mom hooked me up with probably the biggest zucchini I’ve ever seen. Zucchini is one of my favorite summer veggies! We grilled some the next night for dinner, and then I shredded and froze the rest in smaller portions. Perfect for zucchini bread, chocolate zucchini desserts or these yummy stuffed lasagna rolls. So good!
Brian’s mom also gave me some diced, frozen rhubarb, which I promptly turned into strawberry rhubarb crisp. I love summer freshness!
Corinne was able to visit the zoo this week with her daycare. Children’s Museum + zoo in one week?! This girl is rotten 😉 I’m so thankful for a daycare that takes such good care of the kiddos, and takes them on fun adventures.
I hope everyone has a fabulous Independence weekend! We’ve got a beautiful mix of fun plans with friends and family, and downtime to fill with whatever sounds good at the time. Just how I like it!
