We are back from our vacation, and feeling refreshed and relaxed! We went to Hilton Head for the first time last May, and knew we wanted to go back this year if we could. I love the small town atmosphere, the clean beaches, and how family-friendly the island is in general. Here is a little recap of our week together!
We split our drive between Saturday and Sunday on the way down…yes, it takes longer, but it helps us all with our sanity. We were super tired when we arrived, but so happy to smell that salty air.
Ready for our first day on the beach! Just like last year, Corinne was not a fan of the actual ocean…I can’t blame her…the waves are scary and big for a 3-year-old! She stuck to wading in the bank water and playing in the sand most of the time.
Probably my favorite dinner was our first night at the Salty Dog Cafe…yummy seafood and live music! Corinne loved the live music – we got up and danced to several songs, and she would clap and yell “woohoooo!” after each song was done. For you How I Met Your Mother fans, we said Corinne is totally going to be a “woo girl” when she is older 😉
This girl was a pro at making friends all week…so proud of her! She would walk right up and say, “What’s your name?”
Our first photo as a family of 4 (can’t believe I just said that!). We were so excited to announce on our trip that we have baby Holcomb no. 2 coming soon. More details coming on that later this week!!
Casual evenings of ice cream and walking the beach with these two make my heart so happy. And Corinne’s heart? Ice cream, haha.
We took a break from all that beach relaxing on Thursday to visit Savannah, GA again. We ate at Paula Dean’s restaurant, Lady & Sons. Corinne wasn’t too sure about Paula, haha! We also took a trolley ride to see the whole town – so in love with the city’s architecture and general atmosphere.
Popsicles on the beach are always a good idea!
Last night on the beach! I feel very blessed that we could get away and spend some great time together as a little family. Now, where are we going next?
Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
