memory lane: jackson st. weddings

I don’t know if I’ve ever shared how Brian and I actually started dating.  We were both seniors at Ball State, and my long time friend Sarah was dating her high school sweetheart, Zach, who lived off of Ball State’s campus in an old fraternity house that he shared with 9 other guys.  Yes, 10 guys living in a house on good ol’ Jackson St.  My other friend Sarah and I (yes, Sarah, Sarah, and Tara…I know, haha) went over to the Jackson St. house with Sarah to hang out for the night, and a friendship with the guys in the house was quickly born (I went to high school with many of these guys…I’ve known some of them since elementary school!).  To make a long story short, Brian and I paired off a few months later, Sarah and Phil started dating, and Sarah and Zach continued to date and got engaged that year.  Now years and years later, all of us couples are married!  We laugh about this all the time…and truly, I thank my lucky stars that some of my best friends became some of our best couple friends.  I know how lucky we are.

Now 9 years past graduation, we don’t see everyone that was around the Jackson St. house as much anymore, but I still hold those people and memories so dear to my heart. Every once in a while, one of the roommates gets married, and we have the best time reminiscing and celebrating with a good ol’ Rock & Roll Dance Party (RRDP).  Here are some of my favorite “Jackson St. wedding” memories 🙂
